Philosophy & StrategyThe mission of 2|42 Community Church is "helping people take next steps with God." Our goal as a church is for people to become three "C" Christ followers - Celebrating God through Worship, Connecting with one another, and Contributing to the mission of God in the world. That same DNA is found in every small group of 2|42. Each group shares the same mission and goal as the larger 2|42 church body.
A small group is the best environment for people deciding to take next steps with God. We believe that spiritual transformation happens and is sustained best within a small group. It is within the group that God's Word is explored, openly discussed and practically applied to life. It is also the place where individuals can know it is safe to share their successes as well as their struggles and know that they will be encouraged and prayed for.
Vision
Our vision is for 80% of those that call 2|42 their church home to be connected in a small group where they can be encouraged to take next steps with God.
We have three types of small groups:
Life Groups unpack the Sunday morning message themes through study and discussion.
Discovery Groups focus on a specific topic such as finances, marriage or parenting.
Restore Groups address life challenges like grief, loss, addiction and recovery.
