I have some exciting news about Contribution at 2|42!
We've had 4 awesome years of serving the community through ServeFest. We
have strong community relationships and understand the needs. The people
of 2|42 understand our DNA of being an inwardly strong church that is
outwardly focused. This year we plan to blow the doors off of ServeFest.
It will be exciting to have a kick off event in Brighton in May and A2 in
June. After that we are going to turn loose the cell groups and
encourage/equip them to do 1 outreach and 1 Free Stuff Van event on their
own, in a time frame that works out best for them and the group being
served.
July everyone will have the opportunity to participate in a RGC Month of
Serving. People from 2|42 will submit the felt needs of family members,
friends and loved ones & as a church we will strive to meet those needs.
This event will focus on household repairs or cleaning, yard work, driving
people to the doctor or grocery & car repairs, etc. As a church this will
give everyone the opportunity to use our skill and talents to help others.
Later in the year, we will have a pop & donut giveaway and RGC Giving Tree
to look forward to.

This is something I look forward to each year and I am so excited to see the changes for the up and coming Servefest Season. I personally, cannot think of anything, yes anything, that I would rather be doing with my family than serving my neighbors in the community.
I pray that we are able to continue to feed the hungry, talk to the lonely, touch the broken, and find the lost in this years outreaches.
I encourage everyone to mark your calendars now for Servefest in May, June, July, August and September and hope to see you all there!!
I'm with you Mel - our cell group is coming up with some really cool ideas that I can't wait to share!
